On February 15, Steve and Tim spoke at New York Law School on “PACER, RECAP, and Free Law.” Video of the event is below:

Surprisingly pessimistic reception from the audience. It seems New York Law faculty chose to scrutinize the justification behind recap rather than talking about what this entail for open access to public records. It would have been an appropriate response if you all were delivering a paper and presenting ideas to them, but this is a tool with real, practical implications. They should have been thinking about how to use it, distribute it, promote adoption in the field. Recap exists. Why are we discussing whether it has a right to?

    Thanks for the brilliant work,
